What color is your kitchen?

My friends laugh at me over how much I rearrange furniture and paint around my condo. I like change. Some of my friends have even joked that I have lost square footage from painting so much.

Well, I am thinking about painting and making some changes in the kitchen, yet again. And I am undecided. So, I'm asking my readers, what color is your kitchen? Does it have a theme? Send me a comment and tell me all about your kitchen! Thanks.

I just recently painted my kitchen yellow; butter to be exact. I sponged lightly over that with a lemon edge color (also a yellow/white).  I love it.  In addition, I went with a red on my cabinets...  Our parents came in & said OOOOH as in YUK, but everyone else loves it.  It just blends well.

I think my favorite part is the butter yellow...

Bright yellow walls with blue stenciling based on a floral design from an old vase. Hardwood floors, white cabinets and white lace curtains. It's kind of midwest farmhouse meets French cottage.

I used a terracotta venetian plaster below the chair rail. A dijonish color above the chair rail and a golden yellow a shade lighter than the dijon on the cabinets. I added bronze pulls to the cabinetry and a bronze faucet. The counters are a laminate that incorporates all those colors onto a green base. The floor is a slate looking vinyl, also with a green base that incorporates all the colors. I'd say it's a mediterranean feel. I've got Turkish and Spanish tiles on the walls.

I've tried to give my kitchen a French Cafe vibe. Gradually, we are replacing our old appliances with stainless steel. I am a "coffee obssessionista" and have a separate coffee station which includes my espresso/cappuccino machine, coffee grinder, programmable coffee maker and my french press. My kitchen's colors are yellow, butterscotch, red and cream. I collect vintage french advertisements and cafe signs. My kitchen's focal point is the "Chat Noir" (Black Cat) picture from which I've pulled the colors. The colors blend well with my red living room that shares an archway

I am originally from the island of St Lucia so tropical colors are my favorite. I recently painted my kitchen a bright orange color with white mouldings. I have also created a Quixtar magic corner on a black bakers rack in there to spice it up a little. Very retro. Everyone loves it. Customers get in the mood to shop when they come in.
