Really good sauce in a jar

I've been making more pasta lately, especially organic whole wheat pasta, which I really enjoy. And last night I tried Smart Menu Tomato Basil Marinara Sauce that Quixtar offers. I thought it was excellent and one of the better sauces in a jar I've had in a long while.

Usually, I don't mind making sauce from scratch. It's fun and normally turns out well. But given the recent pace of things lately, I don't mind saving the time and using the jar. I plan on stocking up on a few of these jars, keeping them for when I want a nice dinner in a hurry.

Here in Europe Amway has a couple of sauces in a jar, Tomato & Basil, and Tomato, Black Olive & Mushroom. Made in Italy and all :-) Following on to your last request re Pizzas, they make absolutely *superb* sauce bases for making pizzas. In the simplest form I simply spread the Amway sauce on the pizza base, then sprinkle with some diced onions, bell peppers, and cheese with perhaps a little extra oregano and basil. For a really quick and healthy snack you can do the same think on rye bread and toast quickly in the oven.

My solution to making sauce is to make a whole bunch and freeze it is different size containers. This way, I don't have to unfreeze more than I need for myself. Also, if my 3 ravenous nieces come over I don't have to open 5 or 6 containers.
